Well-Check Visits

Children grow and develop rapidly. In fact, infants and babies may reach many important developmental milestones over the course of only a few months. We recommend well-check visits regularly from birth through the age of 18 years.

Recommended schedule for well-checks:

Newborns

2 to 3 days after birth

Infants

Every two weeks until the child’s second month of life

Babies and Toddlers

At the ages of 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 24 months

Children and Teens

Annually between the ages of 3 and 18 years

Your pediatrician will carefully monitor your child’s growth and development at each appointment. In addition to monitoring the achievement of major milestones and tracking growth, your child’s healthcare team will administer all outstanding immunizations at the well-check. A well-check is also an opportunity for you to inquire about questions and concerns that have arisen.
